Skandagiri, also known as Kalavara Durga, is a stunning ancient hill fortress located near Chikballapur, roughly 70 km from Bangalore. Standing at an elevation of about 1,450 meters, it is most famous for its rewarding sunrise trek where hikers are often greeted by a breathtaking "sea of clouds" beneath the summit. The trail winds through the ruins of an 18th-century fort, blending a moderate physical challenge with deep historical significance.

Forest Department Clearance: Complete all mandatory forest department entry and permit verification procedures at the checkpoint

Trek to Summit: Embark on the guided ascent, hiking through the scenic and rocky terrain under the cover of darkness

Sunrise and Exploration: Reach the peak just in time to witness the sunrise above the clouds, with some time to relax, and capture photographs

Descent: Trek back down the trail to the base camp

Breakfast Stop: Stop at a nearby local restaurant for a breakfast (self-sponsered)

Return to Bangalore: Commence the drive back to Bangalore, concluding the trip with a drop-off at your initial boarding points

Emergency Substitution Protocol
In the event of "Acts of God" (landslides, weather, govt. closures) or "Company Emergencies" (last-minute transport cancellation, mass-cancellation) occurring within 12 hours of departure, the Participant is granted:
Option A: Substitution
Join an alternative trek on the same dates. If more expensive, the company absorbs the cost. If cheaper, we refund the difference.
Option B: Full Refund
Receive a 100% refund of the trek fee paid directly to the company.
General Terms & Conditions
- ID & Age Proof: Valid Photo ID is mandatory. Age proof for children/infants is required; participants above 11 years are charged as adults.
- No Refund for Unutilized Services: No credit or refund will be provided for any part of the package (meals, transport, stays) not used by the guest.
- No Exchange of Package Features: Features specified for the selected tier (Lite, Plus, etc.) will be honored. Demanding features from other packages is strictly not permitted.
- Accommodation: Room allocation (Twin/Double) and adjacent room requests are subject to hotel availability. Rollaway beds/mattresses are provided for extra adults/children.
- Itinerary Changes: The proposed itinerary is an outline. The Trek Lead reserves the right to modify routes due to weather, local restrictions, or safety without prior notice.
- Seating Policy: Seats are allotted on a first-come-first-served basis. Initial seat selection is final for the entire trip duration.
- Price Fluctuations: Package prices are subject to change in the event of increases in forest permits, government taxes, or peak season hotel surcharges.
- Personal Belongings: The company is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal items like mobile phones, cameras, or jewelry.
- Substance Policy: Zero-tolerance policy for alcohol, tobacco, or narcotics from boarding until completion. Violators will be expelled immediately without refund.
- Damage Claims: Any damage caused to company or hotel property by the guest will be billed at full replacement cost.
- Liability Limitation: Company liability is strictly limited to the trek fee paid.
- Any other terms and conditions applied as may be decided by the company at any point of time.
